Introduction
Over the past few years, new materials and their processing technologies was ever emerging to cope with the strength, lightweight, durability, high thermal conductivity, corrosion free, electromagnetic compatibility and other necessary functional properties of critical components in vehicles, healthcare devices, telecommunication, tooling, machinery and other value added products industries. It is anticipated that local manufacturers of metals, ceramics, and other composite materials industries commonly engaged to acquire knowledge and technical know-how on new metals and ceramics materials and corresponding processing technologies, their applications and business opportunities ahead in order to diversify into these growing and value added products business or adding value to their current products by enhancing its functional properties. Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) is to present a series of conference and seminars to disseminate the applications and business opportunities of new materials and their processing technologies, as well as the corresponding investment, operation costs and new business opportunities to the local industries.
